About ModernFix

ModernFix targets the slow parts of loading a large modpack: launch time, resource reloads and world joins. It also reduces memory use.

It is a common companion to FerriteCore in big packs.

Compatibility

How to install ModernFix

Install on NeoForge
  1. Install NeoForge for the Minecraft version you want (1.20.1 – 26.1.2 supported). See how to install mod loaders.
  2. Download the ModernFix file for your exact Minecraft version and NeoForge from an official source.
  3. Put the .jar files in the mods folder of your game directory or instance.
  4. Launch the NeoForge profile. Check the Mods menu to confirm ModernFix loaded.
Install on Forge
  1. Install Forge for the Minecraft version you want (1.16.4 – 1.20.2 supported). See how to install mod loaders.
  2. Download the ModernFix file for your exact Minecraft version and Forge from an official source.
  3. Put the .jar files in the mods folder of your game directory or instance.

Install on Fabric

  3. Most Fabric mods also need Fabric API; this one does not declare it, so only add it if another mod asks for it.

Common problems and fixes

A mod misbehaves only when ModernFix is installed.

ModernFix lets you turn individual patches off in its config. Report the conflict on its issue tracker so it can be fixed.
